Our Process

As a family owned custom mill with over 39 years experience, KingWood specializes in working with architects, builders, designers and decorators in fully capturing total coordination between cabinetry, furnishings and accessories to attain a fine furniture appeal throughout.

Our finishes range from Tuscan & old world to full Contemporary and are hand rubbed at base colors and coatings, some finishes encompass as many as 20 steps and are top coated with a catalyzed, non yellowing finish that is 38% solids, ending up with a very durable, easy to maintain finish required of fine furniture. We are constantly pursuing 'green friendly' products and procedures and are currently developing a completely new contemporary series.

To date we have produced in excess of 5000 kitchens and related projects, some of which have gone as far as north to Wisconsin, south to Mexico City, and west to Tucson, varying is size, Style, finish and wood types. Our award winning creative designs have been featured in leading trade and design publications throughout the Southwest

While there are some very talented finishers in our trade, it is extremely difficult to match the quality and consistency of vault finishing on the site. Our Cabinets are finished flat prior to assembly and hardware mounting, preventing overspray and insuring a even, consistent look, un-attainable with site finished cabinetry...
